Leonardo's Library offers a unique academic résumé-creation service. It is never too early for a student to start building an academic résumé. This résumé should reflect the chosen path and subsequent accomplishments of the student. If a student is interested in languages or the sciences, then both in-curriculum and out-of-school assignments, like a semester abroad or an internship in a lab, should be pursued and noted on her academic resume. Or, if finance or art is the student's passion, there are a variety of paid and volunteer projects to participate in to build your pre-college resume. Our academic résumé service helps find roles that will confirm a student's interest and contribute to his or her development.
Colleges will compete for students with scholastic prowess and real-world experience. Picking an interest or two, and building a multi-year pursuit of those interests will appeal to universities and employers that value a well-rounded applicant.
It costs about $25-30 a month to provide reading material for a young child. It costs roughly five times that amount to hold a one-hour group session for older students. Please donate to
LeonardosLibrary.org (a 501(c)(3) organization) to help us provide materials and tutoring.
Our goal is to raise $25,000 by the end-of-the-year. With these funds, we will broaden our art supplies and book-giving reach, include eBook readers (which cost between $80-$100) that provide more reading material for less money, and expand free tutoring and test prep.
Coming soon...
Leonardo's Library will begin offering career introduction days soon. Here, as a group, we will visit or be visited by a professional to learn about the mission, tactics, and day-to-day activities of a person in that field. Students will learn about different careers and the academic and professional directions our experts took to get where they are.
